What else you need to know:
Too Faced Co-founder and Creative Director Jerrod Blandino learned of the healing properties of cocoa while getting a chocolate facial in Maui. With Chocolate Bar he created a first-of-its-kind palette that combines the healing benefits of chocolate with richly pigmented, velvety smooth shadows. Chocolate has been used for centuries for its soothing properties and to protect, condition, and heal skin that has been damaged by sun and wind. Studies have shown that the scent of cocoa powder can increase memory and brain power.
The palette comes with 16 matte and shimmer shadows, and i love how the two colors (which can be used as a base and a highlighter) were bigger than the other shadows, which make sense since they’re the ones that you usually use the most. I still can’t get enough of palette’s smell, all that chocolate goodness can really hypnotize you! There’s a good amount of browns and pinks, while there are redder shades too. Not only that there are a great range of colors in this palette there are also many different kinds of finishes in it, you can find matte, shimmers, glitters, and satin within the palette.
The pigmentation is amazing, and i love how it’s so easy to blend, of course with the help of your eyeshadow brushes. My favorite shadows are Milk chocolate, salted caramel, marzipan, triple fudge, creme brulee (its so soft and velvety!), and last is hazelnut.
There are a few misses on this palette, some of the matte colors can be chalky, such as strawberry bon bon and triple fudge, also the he color candied violet comes out sheer so you really have to layer it for the color to show up.
Overall i am in love with this palette and I’ve been using it everyday since i bought it!
