“God is within her, she will not fall” Psalm 46:5

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

We are all at different seasons in our lives, and no matter what it may be, whether it be good or bad, God is always there for us. “Do not be afraid”, those words always sticks out to me. God is always reminding us to always be strong, because he knows that there are going to be trials in our lives and things that are really going to break us down. So he’s always reminding us to not be scared, to have courage and be strong. God knows what’s in our heart, and he knows that as human we can be weak sometimes, so being constantly reminded of his love, and that he will always be with us every single step of the way keeps me going. We create the fear and anxiety for ourselves, not wanting to come out of our comfort zone and being exposed is what keeps people from really pursuing the life that they are destined to live. The fear of never being good enough distracts people for even appreciating the little things in life. We create that fear for ourselves. We must always remember that no matter what situation we are in our life we must let God take control of everything, He know’s what is the best for us and even if we are going through some storms in our life right now, just trust Him and believe that he will take us out of that storm.

Be Still

“Be still and know that I am God” -Psalm 46: 10

Sometimes all we have to do is to Be still, let go, and let God. I’ve always been the person who overthinks everything, I want to plan everything, I want to achieve great things. I want to be in a relationship with a man that i will one day marry. Sometimes I feel like time is ticking, and I feel like I’m in a race. I see everyone else around me achieving so many things, but what about me? What have I accomplished? What have I done in my life so far. I look at people my age getting engage and having kids already, and me on the other hand have yet to find that person. My friends are graduating college, and i can barely even go through a semester at school. I see everyone else, and compare them to myself. I can’t help but feel helpless, i can’t help but feel like a failure.

Yet through all the season of my life, God has always been so faithful. He’s always done what he said he will do. Keeping that verse in my head over and over again, saying to myself, “be still,” reminds me that we all have our own race, we all have own journey, and God has placed us on that journey for a purpose. Comparing ourselves to others, is not the answer, because we have our own story, and God made us all unique for a purpose. It’s when we compare ourselves to others, is when we start feeling like we’re falling behind, it’s when we start feeling like we’re never gonna get there. And that’s how we become hopeless, that’s when we start to give up. We can keep planning and planning, but it’s only God who really knows where we will be at the end.

Just trust God, and let go of things that you can’t change, no matter how scary it may seem, or how uncertain it is. Just know that he is God, and he will never abandon us. Even if right now things may be scary, or things may not be what you want it to be, just be still and trust him, because there’s a reason for every season. For wherever it is that he may take us, even if it’s completely different from what you thought you would do, just trust him, because wherever it is that he will take us, just know that it will be good, because he’s  a good father, and as sons and daughters of God, he will not bring us somewhere we weren’t meant to be, or to place of suffering. He will always lead us to where we are suppose to be, he will always lead us to a great future and a place full of joy and happiness.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11
